Accompanied Horses or Ponies Likely to Be in or Crossing Road Ahead road sign

The Accompanied Horses or Ponies Likely to Be in or Crossing Road Ahead Sign (DoT 550.1) warns drivers that ridden or led horses and ponies may be near or crossing the road ahead. It gives drivers time to slow down and take extra care while passing.

With a black horse and rider symbol inside a red triangular border, this sign provides a clear warning that is easy to recognise at a glance. It’s best suited to bridleways, equestrian centres, rural roads, and areas where horses are regularly ridden or led across a highway.

Manufactured in the UK with a highly reflective RA2 face, the sign provides good visibility in daylight, low-light, and poor weather conditions. Fully compliant with current UK traffic sign regulations, it’s suitable for both permanent roadside installation and temporary use around equestrian events.

Sizes available: 450mm, 600mm & 750mm. Other sizes are available on request. Can be supplied for wall mounting or with rear channels for post fixing.
